How we measure it

Every cohort completes a confidence self-assessment before and after training, alongside a practical certification test run by a second, independent instructor. The 84% "daily confidence shift" figure comes from that pre/post comparison, not a one-time exit survey.

Trainer numbers count anyone who has completed our certification pathway and is actively teaching — not everyone who has ever attended a session.

Growth since 2016

We started with one instructor and one cohort in a single school gym. Nine years on: 14 cities, 312 school partnerships, and — the number we care about most — 41 of our 96 certified trainers came up through our own programs as trainees first.

What these numbers don't show

These are cumulative totals, not a single year's results, and self-reported confidence is a proxy for safety, not a guarantee of it. We publish full year-by-year, audited figures separately — see Annual Reports — rather than folding them into the headline numbers here.
